All Spice (Ground Pimento)

Allspice is the dried, ground, unripe fruit of the  pimenta tree - native to central America. The flavour is a combination  of cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. Allspice is often used in Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Latin American cuisines, among others. It can be used  to flavour a wide range of foods from chicken, ham, ketchup, cakes,  cookies, soups, beef patties, fish, jelly, sauces and bread.

Dried pimenta berries
